The BFC 95 Boys completed a highly successful season in 2007-08 under the leadership of Coach Kevin Curley. The season culminated in a battle with Clinton FC for 3rd place at the 2008 MSA State Cup held in Clinton May 31-June 1. The boys were nipped by Clinton FC 2-0 in a match that was initially delayed and then interrupted by rain and lightning for more than an hour.
The boys completed the season with a record of 24 wins, 12 losses, and 3 ties representing all tournament and league matches. The boys got the season off to a great start with a round-robin championship at the Central Jackson Soccer Classic Invitational tournament held September 8-9 in Jackson. The boys scored an impressive 16 goals in 4 shutout matches! The boys followed with a statement victory over eventual MSA State Cup champion, Gulf Coast United FC Blue, at the CFC Magnolia Cup XXVIII tournament held February 15-17 in Clinton. Prior to a solid 4th place finish at the MSA State Cup, the boys went undefeated and earned a coveted championship at the Red Diamond Vulcan Cup tournament held March 1-2 in Birmingham, AL! The Vulcan Cup is a premier tournament in the southeast annually hosting nearly 400 teams from more than 10 states.
